Clinical Guideline and National Policy

With the advent of Molecular techniques, new viruses are being discovered every one-or-two years for the last 2 decades. At the same time a number of antivirals have been licensed to treat mild or serious viral infection. Unlike most antibiotics, antivirals are expensive and some have serious side-effects. In order to use the antivirals more rationally and effectively, guidelines are developed by different authorities. National Institute for Clinical Excellence is one of the national bodies that is engaged in developing guidelines based on clinical evidence and some expert opinions.

For a busy doctors, it is time consuming to find published relevant guideline as the guidelines are developed and published by different organisations, Society or Royal College. The most relevant guideline can be found by just clicking.  As this web site will be up dated every month, you will have the latest guideline whenever you visit this web site.
